Living in Australia

Monday slept in until 6.30 and decided I'd go to Mass at 7.30 but priest forgot to come he thought is was set for 9am, as I had told Tony to have breakie ready for 8am I left just as he got there.(the priest) Scrambled eggs were the menu. Had a call from Joseph last night and a great chat with him, he's all excited about his new job in Melbourne and the prospect of buying a new house there, good luck Joe!
Still not feeling great today and looks like my problem is not going away. Today I finished Tony's rug and started on another scarfe for my friends in China.Thank to Anne in MtIsa for all your help with my blog my mind just goes blank when I get started, but maybe as I get more used to it I'll improve.
We arrived in Brisbane on the 30th March 1957, we had traveled by train from Sydney which took about 16hrs or so to a very hot day and were met by my fathers uncle (Uncle Joe) who took us to a hostel at Kangaroo Point and were made to sleep in a dormitory with other immigrants (mostly from England) who were feeling the heat as much as ourselves, we all awoke the next morning with the most horrific mosquito bites, fortunately for us we were only allowed to stay there for 3 days and then the Irish association came to our rescue and took us to a holiday house at Margate.
